My Role

I led this project end-to-end as the sole designer for a client, who came with the initial idea and very little brief: from research through to final UI and design system.

The Problem

Creators and brands need to collaborate, but no accessible two-sided platform lets them find each other, talk, sign a contract, and get paid in one place. Creators stay invisible or underpaid, brands lose track of conversations in DMs, and neither side can verify the other's authenticity.

Creators and brands need to collaborate, but no accessible two-sided platform lets them find each other, talk, sign a contract, and get paid in one place. Creators stay invisible or underpaid, brands lose track of conversations in DMs, and neither side can verify the other's authenticity.

02

What research showed

Six interviews (three creators, three brands) and a benchmark of three competing platforms revealed a two-sided problem. For creators, the real issue varies by profile: visibility, fair pay, or match quality. For brands, trust and wasted time dominate: unverifiable data, missing contracts, three-week delays. The common thread on both sides: nobody matches on values, only on numbers.

03

Personas

Layla Mansour, 24 years old. Lifestyle creator, 48K followers, Beirut. Passionate about her craft but frustrated by how informal and disorganized brand deals are.

"I don't want to be a side hustle anymore. I need a platform that treats me like a professional."

Nadia Khoury, 31 years old. Marketing Manager at a boutique fashion label, Dubai. Data-driven and organized, but the influencer recruitment process remains chaotic and time-consuming.

"I need one place where I can find the right creator, agree on terms, get a signed contract, and measure if it worked."

06

Emotional Journey

Mapping what Layla and Nadia feel at each step surfaced the moments where the experience could quietly fail.

07

Key Flow

The matching flow is where both sides commit, so every decision point had to protect them equally.

08

Design System

Every screen across the three back-offices pulls from the same type scale, color tokens, and components, so creator, brand, and admin never feel like separate products.

09

What i shipped

Every piece maps back to a problem from the research. Creators get visible, editable profiles with rates and availability instead of disappearing into DMs. Brands get values-based filters and verified profiles instead of guessing who they can trust. Messaging and contracts stay locked until both sides commit, escrow payment removes the risk of either side walking away mid-project, and manual account verification through an admin back-office keeps fake brands off the platform. Three distinct spaces (creator, brand, admin) sit behind one shared landing page, two full user journeys are mapped end to end, and the whole thing is priced at €14.99/month, accessible where competitors charge up to $2,300. The biggest lesson from this project: a two-sided marketplace isn’t a linear flow, it’s a choreography between two people who both need to feel in control at every step. Every screen had to answer for both sides at once, not just one.
